Keeping an eye on Australia

In Ireland we can learn from how the law has changed in other countries, and the obstacles faced. It is interesting to observe the rapid spread of euthanasia laws in Australia, following New Zealand’s lead in 2019.
In spite of all Australian states passing laws, the Northern Territories is stubbornly refusing to do so, even though this is where the world’s first physician assisted suicide was carried out by Philip Nitschke in 1996.
